Job Description: Job Title: Principal, Full Stack Engineer The Purpose of This Role We're looking for Full Stack Principal Software Engineer to join Fidelity Health Digital team within Workplace Investing (WI) for the Work place Investing who are hardworking, inquisitive, and responsible individuals to help deliver the best digital web experience to our customers. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of one of the top initiatives in Fidelity Health domain to develop market leading digital experience to our customers that integrate with record keeping platforms to provide exceptional user experience for their healthcare needs. The Value You Deliver Developing, designing and building solutions on a digital platform used by the end customer Setting, communicating and reinforcing technical standards Assessing and researching current implementations of the platform and determining the course of action required to elevate the platform to meet customer needs. Taking the business requirements coupled with existing architecture to set a technical vision for features and major components and clearly articulating the evolutionary steps to achieve it Participating in code review and unit testing and providing support on issues in non-prod or production Foster a culture of relentless pursuit of process and product quality through the use of appropriate standards, engineering practices and tools The Skills that are Key to this role Architecture and Design: Leads architecture design principles, contributes to system design Advanced Angular & TypeScript: Expertise in designing modular, scalable UI components and handles complex state Java & Microservices: Design and develop scalable middle-tier services using Spring Boot API Design & Integration: Collaborates with record keeping teams to define and consume RESTful APIs Cloud-Native Development: Extensive experience in AWS cloud and containerized deployments Security & Compliance: Champion secure development and support practices and lead compliance efforts Dev Assist Tools: Hands-on experience with tools like GitHub Copilot, Gemini and has the ability to evaluate use cases across dev process Innovation & Trends: Introduces modern front-end and middle-tier practices and frameworks Collaborates with product, design, and backend leadership to shape roadmap Mentorship & Culture: Builds engineering culture through mentorship, code quality, and best practices The Skills that are Good to Have for this role Experience in US Benefits Administration or US Healthcare Payor domains is highly valued Proven record to operate in mature product environments with long-term support and stability How your work impacts the organization As a Full Stack Principal Software Engineer within the Fidelity Healthcare Technology Team, you will be engaged in a highly dynamic group that responds to customer and business needs. The Expertise We’re Looking For 10+ years of demonstrated ability in designing and implementing web applications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another related field Expertise in front-end frameworks and web technologies including HTML/CSS, Typescript Angular Expertise in Java and Spring Boot framework and in exploring new frameworks, dev tools and advance software engineering practices.
