Job Description: Note: Fidelity is not providing immigration sponsorship for this position The Role Fidelity Institutional (FI) is seeking a Data Governance Operations Analyst to support the operational execution of the Data Governance program across Fidelity Institutional (FI) and Fidelity Institutional Wealth Management Services (IWMS). Our Data Governance team enables the responsible, ethical, and permissible use of data by establishing and maintaining governance processes that support trusted data, informed decision-making, regulatory compliance, and innovation. This role serves as a key operational partner to governance leadership, ensuring governance activities are executed efficiently and consistently while supporting strategic priorities and risk-informed decision-making. The Data Governance Operations Analyst will own and coordinate critical governance processes, including Data Oversight Committee (DOC) intake management, governance forum operations, meeting coordination, documentation, and action item tracking. The role is responsible for ensuring governance submissions meet established standards, facilitating stakeholder engagement, maintaining governance records, and supporting audit readiness and transparency. In partnership with technology, business, and data management teams, the analyst will also coordinate access and provisioning activities, validate access requests for completeness and proper approvals, and help ensure governance decisions are implemented effectively across supported platforms. Additionally, the role will support data catalog and metadata operations by maintaining accurate data asset inventories, ownership assignments, classifications, business glossary terms, and metadata standards. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, the analyst will help drive adoption of data cataloging practices that strengthen data stewardship and governance maturity. The position will also monitor governance activity and operational performance metrics, identify opportunities to improve processes and workflow efficiency, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance governance effectiveness and reduce operational risk across the organization. The Expertise and Skills You Bring Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Business, Finance, or a related field Experience 2–4 years of experience in data governance, data operations, access management, or a related discipline; experience in a regulated industry preferred. Specific certifications (only include if required or nice-to-have) Skills required for the role: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows and deadlines. Familiarity with governance and access tools (e.g., Collibra, MyAccess, Snowflake) and DG policy framework is a plus The Team This role is pivotal to the success of the Data Governance organization within the FI Data Management team. We enable the responsible, ethical, and permissible use of data across Fidelity Institutional (FI) and IWMS by partnering closely with Legal, Risk, and Compliance (LRC) colleagues and business stakeholders. Our team helps ensure that data is governed as a trusted enterprise asset, supporting regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. The role collaborates across business, technology, governance, risk, compliance, and data management functions to advance Fidelity's commitment to strong data stewardship, innovation, and client-centric outcomes while contributing to a culture of inclusion, learning, and continuous growth. Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles. The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$153,000 per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
