Role Overview: Doing independent research, analyze, and present data as assigned Expected to work in close collaboration with the EXL team and clients on general insurance actuarial projects for US markets Critically examine and deep dive into pricing models. Support the client in creating pricing models, generating analytical reports, and developing comprehensive BI dashboards. Prepare detailed documentation for rate revision, rate review, pricing models, valuation reports and preparing presentations. Gain expertise in state-of-the-art data science models and apply them to general insurance pricing. Enhance process automation and overall efficiency by minimizing manual work hours. Assist in learning and development of new team members Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines Key Responsibilities: Complete understanding of the current state of affairs and problem statement Interacting with clients on regular basis, understanding their requirements and transforming that into business framework and providing actuarial solutions Experience in data extraction and data manipulation in Excel, SAS, Python or R Experience in data control and data automation. In-depth data analysis like identifying major trends, univariate and multi-variate analysis Personal and commercial lines general insurance pricing for US insurance markets Knowledge of general insurance domain and P&C actuarial concepts is a must Excellent written and verbal communication skills Candidate Profile: Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences Affiliation to IAI or IFOA, with at least 5 CT actuarial exams 6-9 years’ experience, with good understanding of P&C actuarial concepts - pricing, rate filing and rater development Exposure to US general insurance market is preferable Strong ability to learn technical and business knowledge Superior analytical and problem solving skills Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe What we offer: EXL Analytics offers an exciting, fast paced and innovative environment, which brings together a group of sharp and entrepreneurial professionals who are eager to influence business decisions.
