About the role
Design and build electronic test hardware—including HIL benches, flat-sat interfaces, and custom test fixtures to verify and validate spacecraft avionics and subsystems.
Develop and maintain automated test control software using Python (primary), LabVIEW, or MATLAB to streamline execution and data collection.
Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues across analog, digital, and RF interfaces; perform root-cause analysis using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and network analyzers.
Execute “test-like-you-fly” scenarios to validate FSW–hardware interactions, timing, and fault management.
Support prototype, qualification, and flight test configurations, optimizing setups for repeatability and robustness.
Participate in on-orbit checkout and RF subsystem validation, including link verification and payload throughput analysis.
Capture, analyze, and document test data to assess performance trends and improve test coverage.
Manage test scripts, configurations, and documentation using version control systems (e.g., Git).
Collaborate closely with design, software, and AI&T teams to translate system requirements into detailed hardware-level verification procedures.
Drive continuous improvement in test hardware design, automation, and system reliability across multiple spacecraft builds.
