About the role
Proactively mentor and coach junior staff, senior team members and other engineers across teams or practices, provide technical oversight and guidance (document production, submittal review, etc.). Lead projects or programs from concept through completion. Communicate design requirements and assist project managers with project coordination and facilitation between architects, contractors, other engineers, equipment manufacturer representatives, and other team members to determine project scope and feasibility. Perform calculations, design advanced building systems, guide team(s) to prepare design documents through coordination with project teams and multiple disciplines, and ensure document production quality meets scope, schedule and budget. Oversee the quality review process, regularly review in-progress work, facilitate drawing preparation and ensure work accuracy and neatness. Attend and participate in owner, client, or architect meetings as needed and visit project sites to verify existing conditions and/or observe construction progress. Consistently maintain advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, AEC industry codes and standards, relating to a broad range of practices, projects or program types through attending internal/external trainings, of self-study. Applies local, state, and federal regulations and adapt engineering information, codes, and standards into the design of projects. Participate in client, company, and industry events to build and maintain professional relationships. Responsible for all junior Engineers under direct supervision and take ownership of the success and ongoing growth of team members. Perform other duties as assigned.
