The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an exceptional Senior Models & Simulation Developer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineering (MSSE) Contract at the DEVCOM C5ISR Center, Engineering and Systems Integration (ESI) Directorate. This is a Key Personnel position critical to mission success, so as a Senior M&S Developer SME, you will be a subject matter expert in Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) simulation environments. You will lead the design, development, and integration of complex simulation tools to support large-scale Joint and Coalition exercises. This role is central to providing a realistic virtual battlefield for training, analysis, and system validation.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and integration of complex simulation tools supporting large-scale Joint and Coalition exercises Provide subject matter expertise in federated and non-federated LVC Modeling & Simulation environments Develop models and scenarios for execution of LVC tools and events including JTLS-GO, OneSAF, JSAF, WARSIM, EADSIM, MDASim, and other DoD simulation platforms Support Combatant Command level Command Post Exercises (CPXs) and Field Training Exercises (FTXs) Integrate disparate simulation systems and C4I systems with federated and non-federated LVC M&S tools, ensuring seamless data exchange and operational realism Develop LVC components that inject simulation data onto user networks and user components for end-to-end capabilities analysis and training effectiveness Implement interface standards including Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), High Level Architecture (HLA), and Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA) Develop interfaces and interoperability tools to distributed simulations to aid in the exercise and analysis of emerging real and conceptual systems Provide technical direction and supervision to development teams Create and present technical roadmaps and strategic plans for simulation architecture Conduct SME meetings to determine user and interoperability requirements to aid in LVC architecture definition Assess and incorporate new technologies (to include AI/ML) into existing simulation tool sets Support requirements analysis, tool development, Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A), and post-event analysis Provide pre/post-performance assessment analysis of exercises and training events Develop scenario vignettes detailing LVC entity interactions represented on digital terrain Configure models using tactical data as input for semi-automated forces to represent role players in exercises Collect exercise data and perform data reduction for technical reports Provide systems engineering support in federated and non-federated LVC M&S Meet configuration management requirements for all hardware and software components affecting modeling and simulation tool sets Provide mathematical analysis, software program development, computer programming, and management staff guidance for scientific engineering problems Develop and verify correlated terrains across LVC architectures Ensure seamless data exchange and operational realism

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Operations Research, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline, OR 12+ years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education 8+ years of experience in M&S engineering with a deep understanding of LVC principles and their application in DoD technical programs Experience with weapon systems analysis using models, simulations, and virtual prototypes Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences Experience with Combatant Command level Command Post Exercises (CPXs) and Field Training Exercises (FTXs) Proven ability to integrate disparate simulation systems and C4I systems with federated and non-federated LVC M&S tools Capable of creating and presenting technical roadmaps and strategic plans for simulation architecture Demonstrated experience providing technical direction and supervision to development teams Experience across the full M&S lifecycle, including requirements analysis, tool development, VV&A, and post-event analysis Experience within a Joint Simulation Environment using Joint Theater Level Simulation - Global Operations (JTLS-GO), Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC), One Semi-Automated Forces (OneSAF), Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM), Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM), Missile Defense Advanced Simulation (MDASim) Active Secret Clearance

​ Desired: Master's degree or Ph.D. in relevant technical discipline Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies Experience developing human-in-the-loop interactive prototype simulation representations Experience with simulation interface standards (DIS, HLA, TENA)

The proposed salary range for this position is: $98,500-$206,800
