Are you passionate about designing technology experiences that transform how people learn, collaborate, and connect? Do you thrive at the intersection of innovation, project leadership, and hands-on technology implementation? Join our team as a Senior Media Technology Specialist and help shape the future of technology-enabled learning and collaboration across campus. This is more than an A/V role. We are looking for a strategic, technically skilled leader who can bring vision to life—someone who enjoys solving complex challenges, leading large-scale projects, mentoring others, and implementing cutting-edge media technologies that directly impact students, faculty, staff, and campus communities. As a senior member of our Technology Client Services team, you will serve as a trusted subject matter expert and project leader responsible for advancing classroom technology, hyflex learning environments, digital signage, event spaces, and campus-wide media initiatives.

What You Will Do Lead Technology Projects That Shape Campus Experiences You will oversee and execute projects that create and enhance technology-enabled spaces across campus, including classrooms, meeting environments, and event venues. Responsibilities include: Leading implementation and refresh projects for traditional and hyflex learning environments

Managing installation efforts from planning through deployment and completion

Coordinating vendors, integration partners, contractors, and campus stakeholders

Maintaining project documentation, reporting metrics, and tracking outcomes

Developing user training and instructional programs to ensure successful adoption

Driving communication and accountability across project teams

Design and Advance Innovative Technology Solutions You will research emerging technologies and help define the future direction of media and A/V services by: Recommending and designing next-generation classroom and collaboration technologies

Supporting media computing, presentation systems, sound reinforcement, and video services

Programming and configuring control systems and integrated technologies

Serving as a consultant and technology advisor for campus initiatives

Supporting sustainability efforts, technology lifecycle planning, digital signage, and hospitality-related initiatives

Provide Technical Leadership and Mentor Others You will act as a senior escalation point and guide the operational excellence of media services by: Leading resolution of advanced media and A/V incidents and escalations

Performing expert troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and quality assurance

Improving support workflows and escalation processes

Coaching and mentoring junior staff, student employees, and contracted resources

Helping build a collaborative, service-focused team culture

What Makes You Successful You are equally comfortable leading a project meeting, programming technology systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and mentoring colleagues. You bring both strategic thinking and hands-on expertise. Ideal candidates possess: Strong project management and organizational skills

Deep knowledge of digital and analog signal flow

Experience with hyflex technologies and traditional A/V environments

Expertise in audio systems, DSP technologies, and control system programming

Strong communication and relationship-building abilities

The ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities

A collaborative and customer-focused mindset

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred

  • 5–8 years of related professional experience

  • Valid driver's license

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex technology projects

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to independently establish priorities and make recommendations

  • Preferred: AVIXA CTS certification

  • Extron ECS certification

  • Extron EDSP certification

  • Hands-on installation and systems integration experience

  • Knowledge of building and construction codes

  • Experience supervising vendors or mentoring junior staff

Why Join Us? Technology shapes every learning experience. In this role, your work will directly influence how our community teaches, collaborates, and engages. You will join a team that values innovation, partnership, and continuous improvement while offering opportunities to lead impactful initiatives across campus. If you enjoy building meaningful technology experiences and want to help drive the future of learning environments, we would love to hear from you.
