C++/Linux Software Engineer (Associate or Experienced Level)

Boeing Poland Software Engineering develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions. We have set our sights high – to design, develop, and manufacture the most technically advanced and reliable avionic components in the world. We are innovating and developing new products to address the future of the urban air mobility as well as our next generation of commercial, tactical, and trainer aircraft markets.
As a C++/Linux Software Engineer (Associate or Experienced level), the job holder will join the Software Engineering team consisting of highly skilled, high performing engineering team members supporting multiple product lines across Boeing organization.
Hiring details: This requisition is for a locally hired position in Poland. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Gdańsk, Rzeszów or Warsaw office . This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Position Responsibilities: Utilizing modern computer programming techniques, tools, languages and agile software development methodologies to build software for delivered Boeing systems
Performing engineering activities including architecture, requirements, development, integration and testing
Proactively contributing to project execution plan to set and effectively achieve operational goals
Project estimation and planning
Influencing, innovating and continuously improving the software engineering process as well as quality, safety and reliability of products and services provided by Boeing
Collaborating proactively with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations
Cultivating a positive staff culture, team motivation
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Proficiency in modern C++
Proven practical knowledge of Linux OS
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
English proficiency
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Level 2 (Associate): 2+ years of applicable experience

Experience in embedded Linux

Knowledge of Linux networking stack

Experience with x86 and ARM architecture

Proficiency in one other programming language (python, java, javascript, etc.)

Collaborating in international projects

Level 3 (Experienced): 5+ years of applicable experience

Experience in embedded Linux

ADDITIONAL ASSETS:

Experience in software development for avionics systems or complex electronics products
