About the role
Associate Electrical Power Systems Engineer Company: BBST - Brazil We are currently seeking an Associate Electrical Power Systems Engineer, to join our dynamic and experienced Electrical Power Systems engineering team in Brazil. The candidate will support the team in the development and certification of transport category airplanes. Review documentation and generate artifacts to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements, related to power generation, distribution functions, lighting, optics, and proximity sensing. Key responsibilities include: Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solve problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs. This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Must have existing rights to work in Brazil. Must have a degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience): Relevant experience on Product Development life cycle and applicable regulations. Relevant experience in Safety Assessment standards. Familiar with Agile methodology. Relevant experience with supplier qualification (DO-160). Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. Additional Information: This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil.
