You’ll collaborate with top-tier engineering teams and guide some of the world’s most recognizable automotive Tier 1s. What You’ll Lead Own the functional safety case for QNX products across the full lifecycle, including Safety Plans, Safety Concepts, and structured safety arguments Perform high‑rigor safety analyses (HARA, FMEA, FTA, DFA) and produce artifacts that withstand independent assessment Define and manage safety evidence for certification, ensuring readiness at every milestone Serve as the primary technical interface with external safety assessors from planning to closure Advise engineering teams on ASIL‑appropriate design decisions and catch issues early Support customers and Tier 1 partners on SEooC integration, safety manual interpretation, and residual risk arguments Evaluate customer architectures and provide written safety guidance Represent QNX in standards bodies and influence emerging requirements Drive continuous improvement of internal safety processes, templates, and tooling What You Bring Deep expertise in ISO 26262 with hands‑on application of Part 6, Part 8, and SEooC Proven experience performing safety analyses (HARA, FMEA, FTA, DFA) End‑to‑end ownership of a safety case through a full certification or assessment cycle Direct collaboration with accredited assessors Requirements management at scale using tools like Jama or DOORS Embedded C development background sufficient to evaluate ASIL‑constrained implementations Exceptional communication skills for writing assessor‑facing documentation and advising non‑safety stakeholders Technical Leadership or mentorship experience Ability to operate independently across a globally distributed team The work we’re doing is not incremental—it’s foundational, and it’s accelerating. Come join us! #LI-KH1 Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Hiring Base Salary Range: $131,250.00 - $181,250.00 Please be advised that the compensation hiring range indicated herein is provided solely as a good-faith estimate of expected base compensation for the position. The actual compensation offered will be determined at the time of hire and is contingent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, demonstrated skills, and results of assessments conducted during the hiring process.
