LOB Description: We strive to build fault tolerant design patterns that support zero to minimal downtime in support of distributed platforms, complex compute environments, and Cloud technologies in pursuit of creating best in class big data ecosystems. They must be able to work with end users, stakeholders, executives, system administrators, and vendors to help deploy those solutions from POC to Production. Manages relationships with business and technology leaders and vendors for technical products and creates an inclusive and healthy working environment to resolve organizational impediments and blockers. Creates the technology strategy for a respective technical domain, aligning execution with product strategy by working with Product Managers ,Product team members, and other stakeholders. Design and architect robust data warehouse solutions that support complex analytical workloads. Lead the evaluation and selection of big data technologies, tools, and frameworks. Develop data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data efficiently. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into architectural designs. Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms. Optimize performance of existing data processes and warehouse architecture. Mentor and guide junior architects and data engineers, promoting best practices in data architecture. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in big data and data warehousing. Provide thought leadership in big data strategy and execution. LOB Responsibilities: This job is responsible for innovating and leveraging technologies in the Big Data, Data Analytics and Data Warehousing realms. Key responsibilities include delivering the architecture and usage patterns across a wide variety of solutions, partnering other analytic teams, security and tenants to meet a diverse usage of delivery and access patterns. Job Description: This job is responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution that supports the strategic outcomes of the Business' Products and Services. Key responsibilities include defining the target operating environment, designing for client resiliency, assisting with solution design, and defining non-functional requirements. Job expectations include working with stakeholders and service providers aligned to the Business' strategic objectives, evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions, and contributing to the architecture roadmap. Responsibilities: Works across the business, operations and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements into a technology backlog to enable the technology roadmap and functionality to support evolving capabilities and services Contributes to the creation of the architecture roadmap of defined domains (Business, Application, Data, and Technology) in support of the product roadmap and the development of best practices including standardized templates Clarifies the architecture, assists with system design to support implementation, and provides solution options to resolve any architectural impediments Facilitates solution driven discussions, leads the design of complex architectures, and finds creative solutions through knowledge of domain, practical experiments, and proof of concepts while ensuring architecture is flexible, modular, and adaptable Educates team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices to create innovative solutions Supports the team as needed to select the technology stack required for solutions and helps select preferred technology products Performs design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements are sufficiently met (for example, security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability) Managerial Responsibilities: This position may also have responsibilities for managing associates. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of technical solutions experience including 3+ years in relevant enterprise data platforms and processing on Hadoop, Teradata, and Data Transformation Products Enterprise Business Intelligence and Analytics. Varied data processing engines and strategies: Databricks, Snowflake, Big Query, Watson X, Starburst/Trino Experience in multiple programming disciplines including Java, Python, and Scripting Languages. Deep understanding Virtualize and Containerized platforms: Openshift, Kubernetes, docker, VMware Understanding of storage and data replication platforms: CEPH, Cirata, Ozone, MinIO, Kudu, HDFS Understanding of Network and Security principals, Creating designs that adhere to Security Baselines Understanding of Cloud architectures including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, compute, storage, network, and security solutions that run on large Cloud service providers (Azure, Google, AWS). Seven steps to a successful interview 1. Anticipate –Put yourself in the interviewer's position. What do you believe the interviewer is most interested in? Why do you think you have been invited to interview? 2. Research –What are the primary functions of the line of business? What are the success factors for the job? Is there a job description available? 3. Assess –Think about your skills, abilities, knowledge, interests, traits, values and accomplishments. Match them to what you know about the job. Consider which ones you should highlight. 4. Prepare Answers –Think about what the interviewer may ask, determine what the best answer is and write it down. 5. Prepare Questions – Interviewing is a two-way street. By asking thoughtful questions, you communicate your interest and learn a lot about the job. Choose two or three questions to ask your interviewer. Avoid asking a lot of questions about vacation time or breaks. 6. Practice – It may seem awkward, but it is the best way to come across well in an interview. Practice your own "great responses" with others or in front of a mirror until you appear relaxed and at ease. 7. Follow-up – Send a brief follow-up letter to the interviewer. Keep in mind that the many job searchers will not send a follow-up letter. Sending one can become a competitive advantage.
