Works closely with Technical Leads, Program Managers, Process Engineers, Modeling & Simulation, Test Engineering, and Fab Operations to drive rapid prototyping, integration validation, POR development, and transition toward scalable manufacturing. May serve as Technical Lead for lower-complexity customer programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop process flows, integration plans, DOE strategies, and technical documentation.
  • Support execution of customer programs from concept through prototype and production readiness.
  • Interface with modeling, simulation, characterization, and test teams to accelerate development learning cycles.
  • Analyze data and drive process optimization, yield improvement, and manufacturability.
  • Coordinate activities across Process Engineering, Fab Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program Management.

E/S/V Execution Expectations

  • Support planning and execution of E-Lots, S-Lots, and V-Lots.
  • Ensure development activities maximize parallel execution and minimize cycle time.
  • Support establishment of Process-of-Record (POR) candidates.
  • Drive integration validation and manufacturability learning.
  • Identify risks early and develop mitigation plans with customers and internal stakeholders.

Technical Leadership Expectations

  • Lead lower-complexity programs or major workstreams.
  • Participate in customer technical reviews and development planning.
  • Support rapid prototyping strategies that accelerate transition to scalable production.

Quantifiable Deliverables / KPIs

  • Support 3–6 active customer programs simultaneously.
  • Support execution of 30+ E-Lots, S-Lots, and V-Lots annually.
  • 90% on-time closure of assigned technical action items.

  • Technical reports within 5 business days of major lot completion.
  • Contribute to establishment of validated POR candidates and integration plans.

Required Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years (MS) or 3+ years (BS) semiconductor or MEMS fabrication experience.
  • Knowledge of lithography, deposition, etch, wet processing, metrology, and semiconductor manufacturing fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a high-mix MEMS foundry environment.
  • U.S. Person as defined by ITAR

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in MEMS, photonics, sensors, advanced packaging, or semiconductor foundries.
  • Experience with COMSOL, Fusion 360, SimScale, Coventor, or equivalent modeling and simulation tools.
  • Experience with electrical test, characterization, yield analysis, or failure analysis.
  • Knowledge of JMP, SPC, DOE methodology, and statistical analysis.
  • Programming experience using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
