The Role You will be responsible to take care of technical aspects of Energy Management System(EMS) & Generation Management System(GMS) products in projects delivered using AspenTech - OSI’s monarch platform for customers across different geographies. You are expected to possess knowledge of power systems analysis, electric utility operations, control, and optimization. Your Impact Work directly with customers to define requirements for advanced control systems. Understand project requirements through interactions with project engineering and other stakeholders, and design solutions to meet these requirements. Carry out power system modelling, Analysis, and electrical design aspects of projects from the feasibility stage through implementation and operations. Design and develop custom applications to meet project requirements. Design the theoretical algorithms and their software implementation. Create test plans and procedures and perform testing for product releases including unit (module by module) and algorithm proof testing. Provide applications programming support for other Engineering departments. Provide training and support for end users. What You'll Need Graduate in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics engineering / Post-graduate in Power Systems or related discipline is desirable. 5-8 years of experience in Power System Analysis and Energy Management Systems. Energy Management System (EMS) – State Estimation, Power flow, Contingency Analysis, Optimal Power Flow, Transient Stability, Voltage Stability Generation Management system (GMS) - Automatic Generation Control (AGC), Load and Generation Forecasting, Unit Commitment Understanding of use-cases for electric utilities is good to have. Understanding of object oriented programming concepts with development using C# or Python along with basic – intermediate understanding of SQL is good to have. Basic knowledge of databases and data warehousing. Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to work on several projects in parallel. Ability and flexibility to travel based on project need.
