Key Responsibilities Creates x-ray tomography recipes (parameters that include accelerating voltage, slant angle, and number of projections) that optimizes throughput and image quality for customer’s high value problems. Identifies system-level gaps for customer’s high value problems (e.g., detector readout, system geometry constraints, etc.) and reports this back to the BU. Helps test new algorithms with the customer’s datasets and determine development paths needed in algorithms. A bonus would be to help develop additional algorithms and scripts. Serve as a technical systems expert, including debugging problems with EPICS (experimental physics in control systems) controllers and Linux challenges. Works with business unit and customers to create new Design of Experiments (DOE) alongside customer on mission-critical tasks, such as dose reduction and dose monitoring.
