We are seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to build the next generation of internal tools to power the App Store, Apple Games app, and Apple Arcade for the WW Marketplace Platforms & Technologies team. In this role, you will define the overall vision and strategy for internal tools and operations that are developed in close partnership with the App Store Product, Business, Engineering, Information Systems & Technology, and HI Design teams.
You will
- Develop and implement the vision and strategy for a new set of AI-driven internal business operations tools for the App Store, Marketplace Platforms & Technologies, and Apple Arcade.
Partner with teams across Apple to establish a value assessment framework to identify the projects with the biggest impact and prioritize the work based on the needs of the business. You will lead the partnership with the Information Systems and Technology team to outline the budget and resourcing needs to build new internal AI tools to maximize operational efficiency.
Develop and deploy new AI-driven tools, and platforms to optimize the content production, business planning, developer management and product roadmap. This includes mapping out the current and next state process flows of our entire toolchain and managing the digital transformation for our global internal teams.
This is a unique opportunity to define the next generation of AI-driven tools while collaborating with a cross-functional team including Information Security & Technology, Legal, App Store Product, Business, Engineering, HI Design, Editorial/Production, Finance and more.

Establish a value assessment framework for AI investments

Lead onboarding, education, and adoption of AI for our global internal teams

Define policies and governance guidance for safe use of AI in internal tools and prototypes

Serve as the senior product leader to improve our current set of core internal tools

Identify and deliver 3rd party platforms that help redefine and optimize our global workflows

Manage the internal tools product roadmap with our cross-functional partners

Manage the on-going needs of the store operations including identifying, testing, escalating, and fixing production issues with Engineering

10+ years of relevant experience building internal tools and operations for global organizations
-
5+ years of leadership experience

Experience leading teams through large scale digital transformations

Experience working with and developing AI tools to optimize business efficiency

Deep knowledge of the mobile app ecosystem with a fluency in backend operations and product-forward development experience

BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in relevant field

Experience with developer or consumer-facing product development

Content management, data analytics, or ad-based tools experience for global storefronts

Strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and experience developing a vision for internal tools with business and engineering teams

Familiar with current LLM ecosystem prompting and prototyping tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude Code, Replit) and basics of SQL, Tableau, and Python

Outstanding verbal and written business communications skills – expertise in building keynote narratives and delivering compelling presentations to senior leaders

Excellent interpersonal skills and a highly motivated self-starter. Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and lead successful teams

You have a bias towards action, a high sense of urgency, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done

Strong understanding of iOS platform
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $233,900 and $351,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
