We are searching for dedicated engineers to join our exciting team of innovators. In this role, you will be a key member of the RM modeling system engineering team working on modem systems features and requirements.
- Model, design, and simulate state-of-the-art RF for 4G/5G/6G modem wireless communication systems. - Implement system models and perform detailed performance investigations to allow performance sign-off. - Collaborate with RF systems and analog circuit designers to capture designs and develop models. - Develop AI/ML modem solutions and mitigation techniques.

Develop RF models for 5G/6G cellular and 5G NTN

Perform end-to-end characterization of the RF impairments of the modem, develop analytical models and support RF/modem spec definition

Develop RF mitigation algorithms for various impairments

Bachelors Degree in EE or equivalent.

Understanding of signal processing and communication systems
-
Strong analytical skills (linear algebra, random processes, detection and estimation, etc.)

Experience with Matlab, C/C++, Python for algorithm development.

Experience with AI/ML applications in wireless communication is strongly desirable.

Strong background in AI/ML and familiarity with the tools such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.

Familiarity with RF impairments (phase noise, DC offset, IQ imbalance, inter-modulation, etc), their impact on modem performance, and RF mitigation techniques.

Knowledge of RF/analog components (LNA, filters, mixers, ADC/DAC), digital front-end processing, automatic gain control.

Knowledge of cellular communication standards: 5GNR, 4G LTE.

Knowledge of RF systems and design flows with hands-on experience in lab testing & characterization.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $122,700 and $214,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
