About the role
RF Fixture Design Engineer (EE)
Bengaluru, Karnataka, IndiaHardware
This small team of extraordinary engineers designs and produces precision RF and Analog Test Equipment & Test Fixtures for use in calibrating and testing wireless technologies in millions of Apple products. All members of the team bring their own unique expertise to collectively take internal Apple products from concept to mass production. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven engineer o design, develop and deploy fixtures for Apple’s best-in-class products. The engineer will work closely with a wide cross-functional group, as well as Contract Manufacturers & suppliers throughout the NPI phase.
Candidate will support multiple products by designing custom hardware to test Apple wireless products from prototype to mass production. Hardware designs will cover fields of embedded systems, mixed signal circuits, RF conducted transmission or radiated test. Position includes fixture assembly, bring up, debugging, and functional verification. Candidate will work closely with vendors to design and fabricate fixture hardware - ensuring fixture design ownership and implement measures to minimize fixture-related failures & retest rates. Conduct thorough debugging of fixture design issues, create standardized operating procedures to document debug instructions and findings. Analyze logs and large datasets to identify the root causes of failures. Utilize simulations and Design of Experiments to drive data-driven decision-making / failure mode analysis and resolution.
