In this role, you will join the Apple Retail Engineering FrontEnd team as a Front aeEnd Engineer, contributing to the development and enhancement of Apple’s e-commerce platform. Your responsibilities will include the construction and maintenance of high-performance web applications, ensuring seamless customer experiences across various devices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement innovative design concepts.

Collaborate with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to implement responsive and accessible web applications for Apple’s Online Store. Write clean, modular, and reusable code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js. Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and user engagement, ensuring a seamless experience for millions of users globally. Debug and resolve performance bottlenecks, cross-browser compatibility issues, and ensure code quality through peer reviews and testing. Stay up to date with emerging web technologies and contribute to enhancing the online store’s front-end architecture. Ensure the highest standards in security, accessibility, and design fidelity.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in front-end development, particularly in high-traffic, consumer-facing applications.

  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and experience with modern frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular).

  • Solid understanding of browser internals, web performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services.

  • Knowledge of build tools, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and mobile-first principles.

  • Strong knowledge of browser internals, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for creating user-friendly, pixel-perfect interfaces.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
