This position is based in China for the management equipment quality, and auditing of sophisticated equipment and facilities in a high volume worldwide manufacturing environment. Working multi-functionally in a team environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for the quality and reliability of equipment to the end-user from multiple suppliers.
As a key partner to our equipment suppliers and Apple technical teams, you will ensure clear communication of hardware specifications, assess supplier manufacturing readiness, and drive day-to-day equipment quality control. From engineering validation to production ramp, you will lead inspection programs, manage logistics, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure our high standards are met.
Primary Responsibilities: Supplier Quality: Define and implement quality plans for new projects, identify Critical-to-Quality items, and conduct intensive spot checks and outgoing inspections. Logistics & Inspection: Develop out-going (OQC) and incoming (IQC) inspection programs, approve shipping procedures, and analyze IQC/OQC data correlations. Project Management: Create project schedules, manage critical path activities, and provide timely issue resolution. Executive Reporting: Concisely report on supplier readiness, project health, and critical quality issues to leadership and cross-functional teams. Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive weekly meetings with Contract Manufacturers and Program Teams, and facilitate alignment across engineering, operations, and vendors. Vendor Strategy: Assist the GSM team with vendor selection, capability audits, and the execution of equipment maintenance contracts. Security & Support: Coordinate supplier repair deployments and partner with Apple Security to maintain absolute confidentiality.

BS or MS in Mechanical Design or Automation or Electronics

Experienced in non-standard equipment design

Experienced in sophisticated capital equipment such as consumer electronics, semiconductor, aerospace, automotive etc.

Experienced in a supplier quality or technical supplier management role.

Strong background of and equipment quality engineering
-
Ability to resolve conflicts and drive compromise.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Proficiency using Excel and presentation software
