About the role
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is looking for an experienced Head of Professional Services, Korea (ProServe Area Sales Leader) to lead and grow the AWS ProServe business in Korea. You'll own the P&L for the Korea ProServe practice — driving revenue growth, building high-performing teams, and leading transformative cloud and GenAI consulting engagements for Korea's largest enterprise customers across IT strategy, migration, modernization, and cloud adoption.
As the PS Area Leader, you will lead a team of ProServe Account Executives and Cloud Architects (pre-sales), with dotted-line leadership of Practice Managers and Delivery Consultants who deliver technical design, custom integration, and solutions implementation work. You will develop trusted relationships with C-level executives at Korea's leading enterprises, serve as the executive sponsor for key engagements, and act as the primary escalation point for complex enterprise relationships. You are focused on delivering outcomes through your teams — removing roadblocks, shaping strategy, and ensuring the organization has the talent, tools, and support to exceed goals.
You will demonstrate proficiency in P&L management, sales methodologies, and pipeline governance coupled with strong strategic thinking and change management abilities. The ProServe Area Sales Leader will be measured against key metrics including Revenue, Billable Bookings, pipeline growth, partner contribution, and customer satisfaction. This leader will also contribute at the WW level to design and drive the cloud-based IT consulting model of the future — including emerging technology areas such as generative AI.
The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud initiatives — from migration and modernization to generative AI adoption — through our global specialty practices, which cover a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.
Key job responsibilities • People Leadership — Coach, mentor, and develop a team of regional managers, architects, and consultants. Attract top talent and build a high-performance culture across Sales, Delivery, and Partner teams. • Business Performance — Drive Korea Area revenue and pipeline through transformative engagements in GenAI, IT strategy, distributed architecture, and cloud operations. Lead ProServe sales to accelerate AWS adoption. • Executive Engagement — Develop trusted relationships with customer CIOs, CTOs, and business executives. Provide strategic leadership, relationship management, and pre-sales support. • Partner Ecosystem — Establish relationships with key system integrators, software vendors, and managed services providers. Deliver joint proposals to help partners succeed in complex customer engagements. • Cross-Functional Alignment — Operate within the ProServe Geo leadership team. Collaborate with enterprise sales, technical sales, and support teams. Contribute at the WW level to advance the cloud-based consulting model. • Escalation Management — Serve as the primary escalation path for internal teams and customers. Navigate enterprise relationships to drive outcomes. • Delivery Excellence — Oversee high-quality delivery of customised engagements across enterprise and public sector customers. • Area Readiness — Ensure the Korea Area is equipped to engage new and existing customers across a portfolio of transformative projects spanning cloud and AI.
A day in the life This is a customer facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services as needed.
