The Opportunity The Technician, Development Product Engineering (DPE), plays a vital hands-on role in supporting the development, characterization, and validation of Allegro MicroSystems' new integrated circuit (IC) products. This individual will work closely with Product Engineers and Design Engineers, executing test plans, collecting critical data, and troubleshooting at the hardware level. The DPE Technician is essential for accelerating our product development cycle and ensuring our innovative sensing and power solutions meet the highest standards of quality and performance. What You Will Do Performs all required ATE resource signups in alignment with the test schedules defined by Development Product Engineering pertaining to Production Development and Qualification and Reliability processes. Performs PTC related tasks as defined by Development Product Engineering teams, such as but not limited to set-up, data collection, validations, pre-pilot and pilot lot run, reject verification and lot dispositions. Performs samples related tasks as defined by Development Product Engineering teams, including testing, storage, serialization and samples shipment. Participate with the activities to debug Product Development and/or Qualification and Reliability Software and/or Hardware required for new products through Development Product Engineers. Provides technical support for the Development Product Engineers as needed. Submits timely status reports on the project, evaluation, and qualification. Provides technical information to maintenance related problems in production. Follows the standard operating procedures. Always carries out good housekeeping. Provides inputs and recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives that will improve the quality and / or reduce the cycle time of any Product Development and Qualification and Reliability related effort. Performs other related duties that may be assigned by the immediate or next immediate supervisor. Who You Are Education: Electronics Technology Graduate or Equivalent Semiconductor Test Experience Experience: 3 plus years typical Test or Product Engineering experience with exposure to Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) ; Experience with Eagle Test Systems (or similar) is desired. Experience programming and/or debugging ATE based semiconductor product test code is preferred. Familiarity with magnetic sensor. Technical Skills: Literate in use of computer and office software; Proficient in Test Hardware; Knowledgeable in Electronic Circuit; Performs bench testing; Hands-on experience with the following: Equipment (ATE) such as RASCO, ISMECA and handlers. modern and latest Automated Test Soft Skills: Mature, stable and flexible; Able to work well with others; Self-motivated; able to work well under pressure; dependable; hardworking; Natural Team Player ; With good problem-solving skills Why Allegro?
