Job Description: Job description: Advanced Capability & Services Engineer Team: Structures – Aerostructure Data Management Background: Designing, optimizing, and validating robust airframe structures is a fundamental aspect of aviation that ensures aircraft safety, efficiency, and performance. Modern aircraft design requires a holistic approach that considers the complex interactions between different physical phenomena. The Aerostructure Data Management team focuses on bridging traditional structural engineering with advanced computational methods, integrating Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) and data-driven approaches to achieve lightweight, highly efficient, and robust airframe designs. Job Role: The candidate will act as an Advanced Capability and Services Engineer focusing on Airframe-related applications, acting as a crucial bridge between structural engineering requirements and software development. While possessing a strong technical foundation, She/He will primarily manage technical projects, guide development teams, perform rigorous business acceptance tests, and drive the scaling of optimization solutions across various Airframe programs. Key activities include: Managing the lifecycle of technical projects focused on Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) frameworks for airframe components and assemblies. Collaborating with and guiding teams of software developers, data scientists, and engineers to automate and couple various commercial and in-house physics solvers (e.g., FEA, CFD). Defining engineering requirements and performing Business Acceptance Tests (BAT) to ensure newly developed optimization tools meet the rigorous quality and safety standards of structural engineering end-users. Driving the industrialization and scaling of optimization solutions and AI-based Surrogate Models across different Airframe perimeters and aircraft programs. Managing stakeholder expectations, tracking project milestones, and translating complex trade-offs into actionable deployment strategies for the business. Contribute to the definition of new methods and tools to define, evolve and set the standard for a new sizing and optimization capabilities for future targeting significant challenges in terms of lead time and data coherency across development processes. Support the exploration of the link between Next Generation Structure Analysis applications - Structural Optimisation tools and 3DEXperience as part of the future platform strategy. Follow-up and validate sub-contracted activities Technical Skills We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience: Engineering qualification background and experience in aerospace engineering in particular structures design Strong knowledge in Object Oriented Software Developments (C++; python...) Good knowledge and experience of systems engineering thinking applied to software engineering, deployment and maintenance. Knowledge on stress sizing and simulation tools (e.g ISAMI, Hyperworks, Nastran...) Basic knowledge of 3DEXperience Self-empowered and Team Player, strong communication skills, flexible, engaged and curious Fluent level of English. Proven ability to scale technical solutions across large engineering organizations Soft Skills: Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex mathematical concepts into business value Strategic thinking with a focus on product scaling and industrialization Solutions-oriented mindset with an emphasis on user adoption and delivering business impact Teamwork and excellent communication skills Willingness to learn new skills, self-development and Problem-solving orientation Fail-fast mindset and Solutions approach Qualification: Completed Masters or Ph.D. degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related streams with a minimum of 5+ years of experience, including experience in project management and structural analysis experience (Simulation / Structural Analysis / Optimisation).
