Project Role : Deployment Lead Project Role Description : Plan and lead the execution of a comprehensive deployment plan, including work planning, scheduling, budgeting, metrics, training, pilots, and resources. Summary: As a Deployment Lead, a typical day involves orchestrating the detailed execution of deployment activities by carefully planning and managing schedules, budgets, and resources. This role requires close collaboration with various project teams to ensure all deployment efforts are synchronized and interdependencies are effectively managed. Monitoring progress against the deployment plan and making necessary adjustments to maintain alignment and achieve project goals are key aspects of the daily routine. Additionally, the Deployment Lead oversees training initiatives and pilot programs to support a smooth transition during deployment phases.
Roles & Responsibilities: Lead the architecture, deployment, and administration of AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts and regions. Manage and optimise AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) clusters including node groups, RBAC, networking (VPC CNI), and upgrades. Administer AWS Managed Microsoft Active Directory (AWS MS AD) and integrate with on-premises AD environments. Oversee Office 365 tenant administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure AD/Entra ID. Design and implement IAM policies, SCPs, and permission boundaries across AWS Organizations. Lead a team of engineers, conduct code reviews, and establish cloud governance standards. Define and enforce tagging strategies, cost optimisation practices, and security baselines. Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams on infrastructure-as-code practices. Manage patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of cloud infrastructure components. Produce architectural documentation, runbooks, and capacity plans.
Professional & Technical Skills: Hands-on expertise with AWS core services: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, and AWS Organizations. Strong experience managing AWS EKS clusters, Helm charts, and Kubernetes workloads. Experience with AWS Managed Microsoft Active Directory configuration and integration. Proficiency in Office 365 administration: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Azure AD / Entra ID. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK).
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in AWS Architecture.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
