Summary: As a Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical direction and architecturaal design of bespoke software solutions. This role requires guiding and supporting teams throughout the design and delivery phases, ensuring that development standards are maintained. The position focuses on aligning software performance and scalability with the broader business goals, while fostering collaboration and innovation within the team to meet project milestones effectively.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the establishment and enforcement of development best practices and coding standards.
- Mentor team members to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure seamless integration of software components.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address any technical challenges or risks. Designs and governs enterprise-scale ontologies, knowledge graphs, and semantic architectures. Defines canonical vocabularies, builds knowledge graph solutions integrating relational DBs, APIs, and streaming sources. Integrates with LLMs and RAG pipelines to enable explainable, traceable AI outputs. Manages taxonomy versioning, metadata standards, and governance. Mentors junior ontologists and cross-functional team members.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Neo4j, Graph Databases. Ontology modeling: OWL, OWL2, RDF, RDFS, SKOS, SKOS-XL Knowledge graph platforms: Neo4j, Stardog, GraphDB, Amazon Neptune, Apache Jena, TigerGraph SPARQL query language SHACL constraint engines Ontology tools: Prot g , TopBraid Composer, OntoStudio Python semantic libs: rdflib, owlready2, SPARQLWrapper AI/NLP: LLM integration, RAG pipelines, vector stores (Pinecone, Weaviate), LangChain Metadata management: Semaphore, Collibra, Apache Atlas
Good to have : Data platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery Cloud: Azure, AWS, GCP fundamentals Java & SQL Experience in pharma/healthcare Ph.D. in AI/Knowledge Representation
- Strong knowledge of graph data modeling and query optimization techniques.
- Experience in designing scalable and high-performance custom software architectures.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Excellent understanding of database management and integration with application layers.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Neo4j.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
Required Cert (one of): Semantic Web Certification (W3C, covering RDF/OWL/SPARQL) Certified Knowledge Engineer (CKE)
Preferred Certs: CDMP TOGAF Azure Data Engineer Associate or AWS Certified Data Analytics
Resource should work from Pune only Should work in Shift B Resource should visit client office 3 times a week Resource will be will work on CENCORA payroll after an year
