Project Role : Application Support Engineer Project Role Description : Act as software detectives, provide a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. Must have skills : Application Packaging Good to have skills : NA Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: Senior Application Packaging specialist responsible for complex packaging, deployment readiness, Software Vulnerability Management (SVM) support, and adherence to enterprise packaging and deployment standards using Microsoft Intune.Own complex application packaging, ensure zero-repeat defects, and serve as the technical authority within the Application Packaging tower. Roles & Responsibilities: Handle complex application packaging using MSI and EXE Build silent install/uninstall packages with proper logging, exit codes, and rollback handling Perform detailed RCA for deployment failures and application conflicts Develop PowerShell automation for packaging, validation, and detection logic Review and approve packages created by other team members Reduce incidents through proactive compatibility and dependency analysis Collaborate with Security, Architecture, Endpoint, and Application Owners Professional & Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Windows Installer (MSI) architecture Experience with MSI tables, components, GUIDs, and features Create and modify MST transforms Handle custom actions and installation sequences Manage product codes, upgrade codes, and versioning Troubleshoot packaging issues using MSI logs Perform repackaging (setup capture) and dependency resolution Strong ownership mindset Provide technical mentoring and guidance to team members Communicate clearly with stakeholders Drive continuous improvement Deep expertise in MSI packaging and troubleshooting Tools: Adminstudio, Advanced Installer, Intune Advanced PowerShell scripting Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 Additional Information: AdminStudio (Repackager, Install Editor) Advanced Installer (MSI creation and customization) Supporting tools: PSADT, Orca, Intune Win32 Content Prep Tool Conduct smoke testing, UAT validation, and regression testing Validate installation behavior, reboot scenarios, and user experience Ensure packages meet enterprise quality standards Strong experience with Microsoft Intune (Win32 app deployments) Knowledge of .intunewin packaging and deployment lifecycle Configure detection rules, requirement rules, and assignments Manage Pilot, Ring, Wave, and Production deployments Monitor deployments and troubleshoot failures Basic knowledge of SCCM/MECM is an added advantage Package and deploy security patches and vulnerability fixes Handle a high volume of SVM alerts and ensure SLA adherence 15 years full time education About Accenture Accenture is a leading global professional services company that helps the world’s leading businesses, governments and other organizations build their digital core, optimize their operations, accelerate revenue growth and enhance citizen services—creating tangible value at speed and scale.
