Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively identifying and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a dynamic approach to troubleshooting, ensuring smooth operation and minimal disruption. The position demands continuous monitoring, collaboration with different teams, and delivering timely solutions to maintain system reliability and performance in a fast-paced environment.

Roles & Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement SAP applications using ABAP RAP framework (CDS, BDEF, Service Definition, OData v2/V4) Build and expose RAP Business Objects (Managed / Unmanaged / Draft-enabled) Develop Core Data Services (CDS) views for data modeling and service consumption Implement business logic using ABAP OO and RAP behavior implementations Create and integrate OData services for SAP Fiori/UI5 applications Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions Ensure adherence to Clean Core principles and extensibility standards Perform code reviews, optimization, debugging, and performance tuning Support testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities Document technical designs and maintain development artifacts

Required Skills Strong expertise in SAP ABAP on HANA, SAP RAP, CDS Views, Behavior Definition (BDEF) & Implementation, OData V4 Services, Experience with Integration (IDocs, APIs, Events) Strong debugging, performance tuning, and analytical skills

Typical Deliverables RAP-based business objects & services Fiori-ready APIs and applications Technical design documents and code artifacts Clean-core compliant extensions and enhancements

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
• Good To Have Skills: Experience with SAP Data Services Development.
• Strong knowledge of debugging and troubleshooting techniques within SAP environments.
• Ability to analyze complex system logs and identify root causes of issues.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of SAP applications.
• Familiarity with integration points between SAP modules and external systems.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
• This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
